Freaky Fly Bry's Top 100 - August 20, 2017

Debuting at #1 is the latest single from Tyler Hilton. The song, which was co-written by, and features backing vocals by, Kate Voegele, becomes Tyler's first ever #1 this week. He previously peaked at #2 twice with "When It Comes" and a live version of "When The Stars Go Blue", also with Kate Voegele. Tyler is the fourth #1 in a row that is led by an artist with their first #1; Switchfoot, Lorde and Calvin Harris all got their first #1's with the previous three chart-toppers. In each case, the artists had been top 5 previously but not #1.

Two songs debut in the top 10 this week; the second is by Pink, as her comeback single "What About Us" lands at #7 in its first week. It's her 19th top 10 overall, and her first since "Just Give Me A Reason" in 2013. (Coincidentally, it's been 11 years since her last #1, "U + Ur Hand", reached the top for its only week at #1.)

Phillip Phillips returns with his latest at #29; his biggest hit so far is "Raging Fire" which reached #12.

Anastacia, Neon Trees and Echosmith are all among the acts who enter the top 40 this week as well as newcomer Samantha Harvey. The next highest debut is by Kate Voegele, with her 5th charting song from "Canyonlands"; the first four all reached the top 2.
