Top 500 songs of 1999-2008 (101-200)

200. Enrique Iglesias - Be With You (2000) PEAK: #3

Enrique Iglesias is one of the most prolific artists on my chart to have never had a #1! He's had several top 5 hits on my chart though, this being his highest appearance in my top 500, kicking off the top 200 with this song, which was a big hit back in 2000.

199. U2 - Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of (2001) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

A song written about the suicide of INXS lead singer Michael Hutchence, this ended up becoming one of U2's three #1's to date on my chart. With a title that makes them sound emo, the song is nothing but, and has earned its place in the pantheon of U2 classics. Still three more songs from them to come.

198. Faber Drive - Tongue Tied (2007) PEAK: #2

This song was tongue tied along with Daughtry's "Over You" during their chart runs, as both songs sounded very similar! This song, however, had a more memorable video, and despite missing out on #1 to "Over You", it ranks higher in my top 500 of the decade.

197. Eminem - Sing For The Moment (2003) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

Eminem's had several songs with inspirational lyrics, and this is one of those; both of his #1's are like that. Helped by the sample from Aerosmith's "Dream On", this became one of my favourite Eminem singles to date, reaching #1 in 2003.

196. Ryan Cabrera - Shine On (2005) PEAK: #2

After his debut album became one of my favourites, I was naturally looking forward to hearing new music from Ryan Cabrera. "Shine On" certainly didn't disappoint, however, it had the misfortune of being released at the same time as "I'm Feeling You" by Santana and Michelle Branch, which blocked this from #1 on my chart.

195. Ashlee Simpson - Boyfriend (2005) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

How appropriate... Ashlee Simpson finds herself right on top of her ex, with songs out at the same time. Unlike Ryan, this one actually did manage to reach #1 on my chart in 2005 for two weeks; Ashlee still has two more songs to come after this.

194. Hilary Duff - Come Clean (2004) PEAK: #2

Three back to back singers from Texas, and this is as high as Hilary Duff gets in the top 200. One of my favourite teen pop singers of the decade, this actually outranked her #1 "So Yesterday" despite not hitting #1; it was blocked by Britney Spears's huge #1 "Toxic".

193. Tyler Hilton - When It Comes (2005) PEAK: #2

Tyler Hilton got his start as a star on the TV series "One Tree Hill", and this gave him an opportunity to showcase his music too. This, his debut single, reached #2 on my chart in early 2005, trailing only "True" by Ryan Cabrera.

192. Santana f/Rob Thomas - Smooth (1999) PEAK: #6

Here's one of the biggest hits of all time... yet on my chart, due to competition, it only managed a peak of #6! This gave 70's guitar legend Carlos Santana his biggest hit ever, and also helped expose the music of Rob Thomas to fresh new audiences! Both artists have several songs to come; Santana has 4, and Rob has 2.

191. Creed - Higher (2000) PEAK: #10

If there's any rock band that typifies the early 00's crossover sound, it's Creed. They had several big radio hits in the early part of the decade, this being one of the biggest. And despite only peaking at #10 on my chart (twice; it fell as low as #23 in between!), it had enough longevity to reach my top 200 best charted songs, spending more than half a year in my top 40.

190. The Wreckers - Tennessee (2007) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

It was clear that whatever the Wreckers would release as a single from their "Stand Still, Look Pretty" album would get to #1 on my chart, and this was the fourth #1 from that album on my chart. The album, that had hits on my chart spanning over three years (though a stretch), was one of my favourites at the time, and this single, released in early 2007, became a #1 for two weeks on my chart.

189. Crazy Town - Butterfly (2001) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

One of many bands who fused rock with rap, Crazy Town had this big hit back in 2001, which samples the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Unfortunately, none of its follow-ups could repeat its success; Shifty from the band has since continued on with a solo career.

188. Nelly Furtado - All Good Things (Come To An End) (2007) PEAK: #4

This was a change of pace from Timbaland-produced club anthems such as "Promiscuous" and "Maneater" but a very welcome change of pace, as I found this song quite reminiscent of her earlier material. As a result, this managed to reach a #4 peak on my chart, and with its two chart runs, makes my top 200 best charted singles of the past decade.

187. T.A.T.U. - All The Things She Said (2003) PEAK: #1 (3 weeks)

This Russian then-teen duo were marketed as lesbians; the gimmick definitely worked, as they got themselves a huge worldwide hit. And while it turns out they are not actually lesbians, they did what few other Russian acts have, and delivered a catchy pop tune that took the world by storm back in 2003. They've had a few minor hits since, but nothing that made an impact like this.

186. Michelle Branch - Together (2008) PEAK: #3

There was just an appearance from Michelle's short-lived duo The Wreckers at #190... now here she is solo! From the soundtrack to "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2", this became a big hit on my chart; despite not reaching #1, it still managed longevity to beat out three of her #1's! The other seven eligible #1's are all still to come... but how high?

185. Backstreet Boys - Incomplete (2005) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

Who would've thought the Backstreet Boys would make a successful comeback? The king of boybands in the late 90's, they returned with this ballad in 2005, which reached #1 on my chart, and became one of my favourite singles from them to date. They still have a few more to come.

184. Destiny's Child - Bootylicious (2001) PEAK: #2

These ladies invented a new word on this song, which samples "Edge of Seventeen" by Stevie Nicks. The song itself was one of my longest-lasting #2's ever; it spent four weeks at #2 on my chart, behind "What Would You Do" by City High. Expect more Destiny's Child to come, as well as some solo Beyoncé too.

183. Bon Jovi - Have A Nice Day (2005) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

These guys just keep going! More than 20 years after their mainstream breakthrough, Bon Jovi showed they still had what it took to make a great song! This became my favouite from them post-90's, and reached the #1 spot on my chart for a single week.

182. Maroon 5 - Makes Me Wonder (2007) PEAK: #1 (3 weeks)

After I enjoyed their debut album "Songs About Jane", it left me wanting more, which is just what I got here. Turns out, I felt "It Won't Be Soon Before Long" was an even better album, and this lead single was just pure fun. One of the catchiest songs of 2007, it's still beaten by a few other Maroon 5 songs.

181. Kylie Minogue - Giving You Up (2005) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

Kylie Minogue had two new songs on her "Ultimate Kylie" greatest hits collection, and this was one of them. This Xenomania-produced track was a surprise #1 on my chart in the spring of 2005, and has since become one of my favourite Kylie songs to date. Still, she's got one more left!

180. Alanis Morissette - Hands Clean (2002) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

I was anticipating Alanis's "Under Rug Swept" album, and it certainly didn't disappoint me. This lead single for me, matched up to her classic 90's stuff, and was a #1 hit on my chart for 2 weeks. However, there is still one more Alanis song to come!

179. Creed - One Last Breath (2002) PEAK: #2

And now here's the highest entry for Creed. They never had a #1 on my chart, but this was as close as they got to the top, reaching #2 in the summer of 2002. Definitely one of their best songs, and according to chart performance, I feel it IS their best.

178. Black Eyed Peas - Don't Phunk With My Heart (2005) PEAK: #2

Here's the second highest entry for the Black Eyed Peas, as catchy as one of their songs can be. I definitely preferred the "phunk" version over the "mess' version.

177. Madonna - Beautiful Stranger (1999) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

From the "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me" soundtrack, here's the highest entry for Madonna. While I generally prefer her 80's and other 90's hits, I feel this was the best she did in the span of my chart.

176. Celine Dion - Taking Chances (2007) PEAK: #3

This, however, is only the third highest entry for Celine Dion! The "Taking Chances" album for me was a return to form after several less-than-stellar efforts, and it shows with this lead single having reached #3 on my chart.

175. Daniel Powter - Bad Day (2005) PEAK: #2

Here's a song that became one of the biggest hits of the middle part of the decade... after breaking through internationally, this became a US hit once featured on "American Idol". He had a few more hits from his debut album on my chart, but nothing else that ranks this high.

174. U2 - Vertigo (2004) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

While they can't count in Spanish properly, U2 definitely delivered another rock anthem here. This lead single from "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb" made its way to the top of my chart, where it stayed for a week. Still more U2 to come!

173. Uncle Kracker - Drift Away (2003) PEAK: #4

My favourite Uncle Kracker song so far is this remake of the Dobie Gray classic, which he even made a guest appearance on! This remake stayed very true to the original version, and became a big hit all over again, reaching #4 on my chart.

172. Amy Winehouse - You Know I'm Good (2007) PEAK: #2

Despite her troubles in her personal life, Amy Winehouse had a fantastic year in 2007 on my chart, where she had four top 10 hits. This, which reached #2 on my chart, was her biggest hit to date on my chart.

171. Dido - Thank You (2001) PEAK: #3

Dido had already appeared on Eminem's hit "Stan", which sampled from this song... but then got an even bigger hit when she released the full song herself! This, probably even moreso than previous single "Here With Me", really helped her break through into the mainstream, and remains my favourite song from her to this day.

170. Mary J. Blige - Be Without You (2006) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

Here's my favourite song to date from Mary J. Blige, which spent a single week at #1 on my chart. Despite her varied career as the queen of hip-hop soul, it was this song that really captured my attention.

169. City High - What Would You Do? (2001) PEAK: #1 (5 weeks)

This trio was put together by Wyclef Jean, and was often said to be the next coming of the Fugees... but unfortunately, they did not last long. However, they did leave behind this memorable song, which spent five weeks at #1 on my chart in the summer of 2001, and became one of my favourite songs of that year.

168. Janet Jackson - Doesn't Really Matter (2000) PEAK: #3

From the soundtrack to "The Nutty Professor 2: The Klumps", this gave Janet Jackson her first hit this decade after having had many huge hits in the 80's and 90's. The album that followed, "All For You", was another big success, and this song's success enabled it to appear on that album as well.

167. Destiny's Child - Say My Name (2000) PEAK: #2

Destiny's Child had a few moderate hits before this, but it was this song, right around their line-up change where all members except for Beyonce and Kelly Rowland were kicked out, that helped them become the huge stars that they've become since. While I do like several solo songs from the girls, I generally prefer them together.

166. Beyoncé f/Jay-Z - Crazy In Love (2003) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

However, this song is an exception to what I said above, as this, the first big solo hit for Beyonce, became a 00's classic! This horn-heavy club anthem helped launch her solo career into the superstardom she enjoys today. However, one more solo song from her outranked this!

165. Train - Calling All Angels (2003) PEAK: #2

Train has been one of my favourite bands of the first half of the decade, and songs like this show why. In the summer of 2003, this spent four weeks at #2 behind Michelle Branch's "Are You Happy Now", and while it's their highest peaker on my chart, one other song by them beat it out here!

164. U2 - Beautiful Day (2000) PEAK: #2

Despite not reaching #1 on my chart (it was blocked by the Backstreet Boys' "Shape Of My Heart"), this uplifting anthem has become a definite U2 classic right in line with their 80's and 90's hits. Here it outranked two of their #1's... but how high does their other #1, "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own" rank?

163. Backstreet Boys - The One (2000) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

In 1999-2000, the Backstreet Boys could do no wrong. In fact, all four singles from their album "Millennium" reached #1 on my chart! This was the fourth of those, and the first to crash out here.

162. Jonas Brothers - When You Look Me In The Eyes (2008) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

Speaking of boybands, here's the closest we have to modern-day superstar boybands! They make teen girls excited, and I must admit, I have a soft spot for a few of their songs myself. This ballad from them is my favourite from them, having spent a week at #1 on my chart a year ago.

161. Macy Gray - I Try (2000) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

Due to this singer's very scratchy voice, I really hated this song when I first heard it... however, it took a remix for me to actually enjoy it! The remix helped, as I ended up getting into the original version too, and it spent a single week at #1 on my chart in the spring of 2000.

160. Jennifer Lopez - I'm Real (2001) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

In 2001, Jennifer Lopez was at the peak of her popularity... and part of that was due to hip-hop remixes featuring Ja Rule. This was one of those songs, and it spent two weeks at #1 on my chart as well. Still 3 more J-Lo songs to come!

159. Train - Drops of Jupiter (2001) PEAK: #3

Now here's one of the big light rock hits of the decade so far; Train has been one of the most prominent bands in that scene, and this song was a huge Hot AC and CHR hit in 2001. It peaked at #3 on my chart, and manages to rank at #159 on my best-charted songs of the past decade.

158. Natasha Bedingfield - Angel (2008) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

A song that contains a spelling lesson here, the very common-titled song "Angel" became the second #1 on my chart for Natasha Bedingfield, making her the only British artist to date to have had more than one #1 on my chart. The other #1 is still to come.

157. Ricky Martin - She Bangs (2000) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

This song, while I did enjoy it when it was out, becoming his third and final #1 on my chart, achieved infamy when American Idol contestant William Hung sang it as his audition song! And while his "singing" was totally horrible, the original still remains a favourite for me, beaten out by Ricky's signature song.

156. Liz Phair - Why Can't I? (2003) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

Liz Phair had some underground success in the 90's, but it wasn't until 2003, when she went for a more pop-oriented sound, that she hit the mainstream. This song, produced by the same producers that worked with Avril Lavigne, spent a single week at #1 on my chart, and was one of my top 10 songs of 2003.

155. Shania Twain - That Don't Impress Me Much (1999) PEAK: #2

This catchy song was one of the standout tracks on Shania's hugely-successful "Come On Over" album, which had one of the widest appeals of any track on it. This peaked at #2 on my chart, behind "Livin' La Vida Loca" by Ricky Martin... but one other Shania song managed to beat this out!

154. Kylie Minogue - Slow (2004) PEAK: #4

Kylie Minogue had just come off her most successful album ever, "Fever", and this one led off the follow-up album "Body Language". It was a hit on my chart, peaking at #4 but having enough longevity to just barely miss the top 150 best-charted songs from my chart's first 10 years.

153. Janet Jackson - Someone To Call My Lover (2001) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

Taking a sample from America's hit "Ventura Highway", Janet made the song her own, resulting in an equally catchy hit and one of my favourites from her to date. This spent two non-consecutive weeks at #1 on my chart back in 2001, and was her second #1 in a row... but how high did "All For You" rank?

152. Backstreet Boys - Drowning (2001) PEAK: #1 (4 weeks)

When this song, the lead single from their greatest hits album, came out, its piano intro was very reminiscent of O-Town's "All Or Nothing", while the song itself contained many elements from other songs! This didn't hurt the song at all, becoming a sixth #1 for the Backstreet Boys on my chart... and four of their other #1's are still to come.

151. Britney Spears - Lucky (2000) PEAK: #1 (3 weeks)

Who would've thought several years later the lyrics to this song about the devastating effects of fame would ring true for Britney? This became the fifth of 13 #1's to date for Britney on my chart, and remains one of my favourites from her to this day. Seven more Britney songs are to come on here.

150. Santana f/Chad Kroeger - Why Don't You & I (2003) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

Originally on the "Shaman" album, this Santana track had Chad Kroeger on vocals, and that was the version Canadian radio played. However, when it came time for the retail single, the vocals were re-recorded with Alex Band! Both versions were combined here for the #150 position for the first 10 years of my chart; Santana still has 2 more, while Chad still has 4 more to come including 3 with Nickelback.

149. State of Shock - Best I Ever Had (2008) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

When I was sampling songs by this Canadian band, this was my immediate favourite, and I knew that if it were to become a single, that it would hit #1 on my chart. Sure enough, it did! Here it ranks as their highest apperance overall.

148. Shaggy - It Wasn't Me (2001) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

I wasn't too keen on this one at first, but after a while I really got into this tale of denying an affair by saying it was someone else! This was the first of two #1's in a row for the Jamaican reggae star; the follow-up, "Angel", is still to come.

147. Jason Mraz - The Remedy (2003) PEAK: #5

Back in 2003, a newcomer named Jason Mraz burst onto the scene with this catchy, quirky song that I noticed for his unique lyrical and vocal styles. While it only got to #5 on my weekly chart, it spent nearly eight months on my chart overall, and that helped it become one of my top 10 songs of 2003. Overall, it ranks at #147 for the 10 years 1999-2008, and remains my favourite from him so far.

146. Sheryl Crow - Soak Up The Sun (2002) PEAK: #2

Another artist who would've had a lot of success had my chart existed then was Sheryl Crow, as I really enjoyed most of her big 90's hits. The hits rolled into this decade, and while lately she hasn't been so good, songs like this definitely earned their place in her pantheon of hits, as this reached #2 on my chart in advance of the summer of 2002.

145. Beyoncé - Irreplaceable (2006) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

To the left, to the left... while the beat to this song may have become recycled and generic, it became my favourite solo Beyoncé song to date, spending a week at #1 on my chart in December 2006. However, I generally prefer her with Destiny's Child, who have three more songs to come.

144. 'N Sync - Pop (2001) PEAK: #1 (3 weeks)

Dirty pop! This experimental song from 'N Sync led off their "Celebrity" era, and holds the record for biggest jump within my top 40, leaping from #38 to #6 in a single week! It went on to spend three weeks at #1; still, two other 'N Sync songs beat it!

143. Nickelback - Savin' Me (2006) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

While many singles from the "All The Right Reasons" era suffered from massive overplay rendering them unlistenable to me, this is one song that's always defied that. Even before it became a single, I knew it had to be one, and when it was, it became Nickelback's third #1 on my chart. Their other two #1's are still to come.

142. Green Day - Wake Me Up When September Ends (2005) PEAK: #2

This song showed persistence... it charted really early when I found out it would become a single, and despite a stall in the teens for a time, it would eventually rebound, and by the time September 2005 ended, it hit its peak of #2! Overall, it spent 42 weeks on my chart, which is a record for songs that didn't hit #1, and is the second highest ranking Green Day song on here; the highest being the obvious one.

141. Ashlee Simpson - Pieces Of Me (2004) PEAK: #3

I was surprised at how different Ashlee sounded from her sister Jessica... but it was a nice, pleasant surprise! This song, despite only reaching a peak of #3 on my chart, did have longevity within the top 10, and stayed there long enough for the follow-up, "Shadow" to join it before "Pieces Of Me" was out! Speaking of longevity in the top 10, one of her songs spent 20 weeks there... but how high does "L.O.V.E." rank?

140. TLC - Unpretty (1999) PEAK: #4

After "No Scrubs" became one of their biggest hits ever, this song about self-esteem and lack of confidence in looks was another huge hit, reaching #4 on my chart, and having enough longevity to rank at #140 for the past 10 years. But how high IS "No Scrubs"?

139. Christina Aguilera - Beautiful (2003) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

Here's another song with a similar message to "Unpretty", despite having a totally opposite title! This kept Christina Aguilera's career going strong, and became one of her biggest hits to date, spending two weeks at #1 on my chart. She's still got a few more to come, unsurprisingly, as she's remained a core artist ever since.

138. Jimmy Eat World - The Middle (2002) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

A catchy song by this pop/punk band, this went more in the pop direction and helped gain Jimmy Eat World some mainstream success. This spent a single week at #1 on my chart back in May 2002, and remains by far my favourite song from them.

137. Blink 182 - I Miss You (2004) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

Another pop/punk band here, but this song is decidedly softer than their usual fare! This gave the song crossover appeal, and helped give them their only #1 on my chart back in March 2004, despite several other top 10 hits. Here's hoping their upcoming reunion will produce more memorable hits!

136. Celine Dion - Alone (2008) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

Heart's song "Alone" is one that I've felt has always been very hard to top... but the closest anyone else has come to it is Celine Dion, who remade this song last year. She really did it justice, as it became her first #1 in eight years on my chart, and her second highest appearance overall in this list. How high did "That's The Way It Is" land?

135. Christina Aguilera - What A Girl Wants (2000) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

And here's more Christina! This ended up getting to #1 on my chart following the success of "Genie In A Bottle", but lacked the longevity its predecessor had. Still, it remains one of her biggest hits to date.

134. Daughtry - It's Not Over (2007) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

Who says runners-up can't share the glory too? Chris Daughtry may not have won American Idol, but has had an impressive career most winners could only dream of! This debut single reached #1 on my chart, and kick-started a streak of hits, which would give them a total of five top 5 hits to date.

133. Kelly Clarkson - Never Again (2007) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

Speaking of Idols, here's the first and most successful winner from the series. While it wasn't the big hit that the "Breakaway" singles were, this still managed to get #1 on my chart for two weeks. She still has six more songs to come, all of which hit #1.

132. Backstreet Boys - Larger Than Life (1999) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

In 1999, the boyband craze was at its peak, and one of the driving forces behind it was the Backstreet Boys. This song from their "Millennium" album became one of their biggest hits to date, and their second of what would become seven #1 hits they'd have overall. Still three more songs from them to come.

131. Christina Aguilera - Ain't No Other Man (2006) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

And here's more Christina! This was the lead-off single from her ambitious "Back to Basics" project, and gave her a highly-anticipated #1 hit on my chart. She's got 4 more songs to come in here, again all of which were #1's on my chart.

130. U2 - Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own (2005) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

Here's the highest entry for U2 in here... while I generally prefer their 80's and 90's stuff, this epic ballad I feel is one of the strongest moments of their career overall.

129. Christina Aguilera - Fighter (2003) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

Christina Aguilera is one of the artists with the most appearances in this list overall, this song being one of my favourites and one of many #1's she's had.

128. The Killers - Mr. Brightside (2005) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

Another band crashes out here, with the essential Killers hit. This song took five months to reach the top after debuting on my chart, and its longevity helps it rank at #128 overall.

127. Jennifer Lopez - Jenny From The Block (2002) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

One of many singles from Jennifer Lopez to appear in here, she has two more to come. Unfortunately, after the "This Is Me... Then" era, her quality really slipped, and this stands as one of her last great moments for me.

126. Toni Braxton - He Wasn't Man Enough (2000) PEAK: #2

I'd enjoyed many of Toni Braxton's 90's hits, and in 2000, she put out one of her best songs ever. This ranks as her highest (and in fact, only) appearance in my top 500 as all of her other songs didn't do well enough to rank.

125. Destiny's Child - Lose My Breath (2004) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

Here's the third highest Destiny's Child appearance; this song brought them back together after solo projects; they broke up after this album and a greatest hits to resume their solo careers.

124. Nelly Furtado - Say It Right (2007) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

Here's the third highest Nelly Furtado appearance; this is her only #1 on my chart to date, but lacked the longevity that two of her #2 hits had back in 2001! Still, a very deserving hit.

123. Shania Twain - I'm Gonna Getcha Good (2002) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

The "Up!" album continued the success for Shania Twain, and this track, reminiscent of the "Come On Over" era, became one of my favourites from her ever. It became her only #1 hit on my chart where it stayed for two weeks.

122. Vertical Horizon - Everything You Want (2000) PEAK: #6

Another band who's best known for this song (and a few other smaller hits) is Vertical Horizon, who took the world by storm in 2000 with this big hit. Unfortunately, they've only had one album since, and it didn't live up to the expectations this song gave them.

121. Outkast - Hey Ya (2003) PEAK: #3

Arguably the biggest hit in this set, Outkast took some memorable one-liners, tossed them together, and came up with this anthemic hip-hop tune that remains their signature song to date. Come on, who doesn't know this song?

120. Graham Colton - Best Days (2008) PEAK: #1 (3 weeks)

Here's a song that, in 2008, came out of nowhere for me. It took a while to build up interest, but after a while, ended up spending three weeks at #1 on my chart, after being used as one of several exit themes for American Idol. Unfortunately, aside from another song before this that stalled in the 90's on my chart, he's had absolutely no other appearances on my chart! Talk about a one-hit wonder!

119. Hinder - Without You (2008) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

Hinder, on the other hand, have had several hits on my chart. This ballad ended up becoming one of my favourites from them, and spent 2 weeks at #1 on my chart last year. However, another big hit from them which didn't quite make the top is still to come!

118. Destiny's Child - Survivor (2001) PEAK: #1 (5 weeks)

Back in 2001, Destiny's Child showed they were true survivors, as they survived a line-up change, and continued their success from the previous year. This song from them debuted at #4 in its first week on my chart, and spent 5 weeks at #1. Still one more song from them to come.

117. Linkin Park - Numb (2004) PEAK: #2

After the success of songs like "In The End", Linkin Park's album "Meteora" ended up living up to expectations, with this song becoming my favourite from them up until that point, reaching #2 on my chart only behind "My Immortal" by Evanescence. However, one other song by them has surpassed it since!

116. Eiffel 65 - Blue (Da Ba Dee) (2000) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

One of the most inescapeable dance songs around the 1999-2000 time period was this song by an Italian dance group; the hook was so catchy, even Flo Rida sampled it on his latest single! This song debuted at #11 on my chart, reaching the top two weeks later, and then lingered around the top 5 on my chart before returning to #1 early in 2000! Definitely their biggest hit overall.

115. Evanescence - Call Me When You're Sober (2006) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

Another anticipated lead-off single from the summer of 2006 here, where many lead singles battled it out for supremacy on my chart. This one debuted at #9, then eventually would hit #1 for two weeks, but is only their third biggest hit overall on my chart! Where did the two big hits rank?

[b]114. OneRepublic - Stop & Stare (2008) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

Following the success of "Apologize", OneRepublic followed it up on their own with this song, which I liked even more. It spent 2 weeks at #1 back in January 2008, and ranks at #114 overall, remaining my favourite from them to this day.

[b]113. John Mayer - No Such Thing (2002)
PEAK: #2

An ideal debut single from an artist who would eventually become one of the decade's biggest male artists, John Mayer sang about the path his career was taking at that point, and despite not reaching #1 on my chart due to Avril Lavigne's dominance in the summer of 2002, is my favourite song from him overall.

112. Len - Steal My Sunshine (1999) PEAK: #2

One of 1999's biggest summer hits, this Canadian band had short-lived success in 1999 and 2000, but this was definitely their biggest hit, reaching #2 on my chart in a period of flux within my top 4; the three songs that traded positions with Len during this time are all still to come.

111. Christina Aguilera - Keeps Gettin' Better (2008) PEAK: #1 (4 weeks)

The title describes how her career gets each time she releases... as this electropop song, different from anything Christina had done to that point, became one of my favourites from her to date, debuting at #3 on my chart and spending a total of four weeks at #1. She has three songs still to come; rather oddly, none of them come from my favourite album of hers (Stripped)!

110. Gwen Stefani f/Akon - The Sweet Escape (2007) PEAK: #1 (3 weeks)

In 2007, I had a renewed interest in Gwen Stefani's solo career, and this song was a primary reason why. The laid-back groove, produced by Akon, really helped this become one of my favourites from her, spending 3 weeks at #1 on my chart, but it's not her highest in here!

109. Rihanna - Unfaithful (2006) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

This, however, IS Rihanna's highest! It's a surprising choice for my favourite single from her, but the vulnerability her voice showed in this ballad helped it become her only #1 on my chart to date.

108. Nelly f/Kelly Rowland - Dilemma (2002) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

This is also Nelly's highest; he teamed up with Kelly Rowland on this, which became one of the biggest hits of his career, spending 2 weeks at #1 on my chart, also being his only #1 on my chart.

107. Santana f/Steven Tyler - Just Feel Better (2006) PEAK: #1 (1 week)

Santana, on the other hand, has two more to come following this one. This teamed him with fellow veteran rocker Steven Tyler from Aerosmith, and the two combined an irresistible blend that made them the oldest collaborative pair to reach #1 on my chart.

106. Delta Goodrem - In This Life (2007) PEAK: #1 (3 weeks)

Here's another one of those surprise hits from my chart, from Australia's pop princess Delta Goodrem! I'd liked several of her songs before this, but nothing quite like this one, which would spend 3 weeks at #1 on my chart, easily becoming my favourite from her.

105. Sisqo - The Thong Song (2000) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

One of my guilty pleasures of 2000 here, an infectuous groove from Dru Hill member Sisqo. This song gets me in the mood for summer whenever I hear it, and ranks as his only appearance in this list; it spent 2 weeks at #1 on my chart back in May 2000.

104. Avril Lavigne - Keep Holding On (2007) PEAK: #1 (3 weeks)

It was no surprise to me that Avril Lavigne would hit #1 once I heard she had a single from the "Eragon" soundtrack. It definitely didn't disappoint, and while it just seems like a typical movie theme, that's where its appeal lies for me. Still six more Avril songs to come... but will any of them be #1?

103. Kelly Clarkson - Breakaway (2004) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

From a movie song sung by Avril Lavigne, we go to a movie song written by Avril Lavigne but sung by Kelly Clarkson! This song from the "Princess Diaries 2" soundtrack has a similar feel and time signature to "Keep Holding On", and was so successful, Kelly Clarkson also used it as the title track for her "Breakaway" album. The other four singles from that album, as well as one other Kelly song, are still to come.

102. Lou Bega - Mambo No. 5 (1999) PEAK: #1 (3 weeks)

Another guilty pleasure here, Lou Bega took a classic mambo feel and turned it into one of 1999's big worldwide dance fads! This song ended up spending three weeks at #1 on my chart, and remains memorable to this day.

101. Usher - Burn (2004) PEAK: #1 (2 weeks)

And just missing the top 100 here is this ballad from Usher! After the still-overplayed-and-still-sick-of song "Yeah", he cooled it down with this ballad, which I instantly got into. To date, this has remained Usher's only #1 on my chart, and is my favourite from him overall... but wasn't quite enough for the top 100!
