Former American Idol winner Jordin Sparks stays at #1 for the third straight week with her new single "Battlefield". The song is taken from her second album of the same title, out on July 21st. German dance trio Cascada rises from #8 to #2 with the current UK #1 single, "Evacuate The Dancefloor"; this matches the #2 peak of their previous biggest hit, "Everytime We Touch", from 2006. Kate Voegele rises from #4 to #3 with her 9th song to reach the top 3, "Sweet Silver Lining", switching places with her former #1 "99 Times", which drops 3-4. Linkin Park scores their 4th top 5 hit with their song from the latest Transformers movie, "New Divide".

Entering the top 10 this week is Green Day, with their 5th top 10 to date, "21 Guns". Their biggest hit to date is "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", which spent 3 weeks at #1 back in 2005.

Outside the top 10, Colbie Caillat is looking for her second top 10 hit, following her #1 from last year "Realize", as "Fallin' For You" rises 23-15, and Edmonton-based band Stereos rise from 28-16 with their debut single "Summer Girl". Taylor Swift is also holding steady at #11, still waiting for her second top 10 hit following the #2 hit "Love Story", while Aqua's comeback single is also holding strong as is Lady GaGa, looking for possibly her second top 10 hit following the #8 success of "Poker Face" earlier this year.

Boys Like Girls easily claim their biggest hit to date as "Love Drunk" rises 70-31 in its second week on. Prior to this, they had not charted higher than #57.

Kelly Clarkson has this week's highest debut at #32 with the Ryan Tedder-produced "Already Gone". So far, she has had eight #1 hits, out of a total of 12 top 10's. All indications suggest that this is likely to become her 13th top 10 hit.

Below the top 40, Canadian rapper Classified and American pop/punk band All Time Low are both looking to enter the top 40 for the first time in coming weeks.

This week's debuts mark the first chart appearances from 14-year-old American pop/R&B singer Jessica Jarrell, Swedish dance/pop singer Anniela, and Nashville-based country band Lady Antebellum. The rest of the debuts come from artists who have had previous chart hits, such as Paramore, with the lead single off their forthcoming album "Brand New Eyes", former Destiny's Child member Letoya Luckett, contemporary Christian singer Britt Nicole, the fourth single from the All-American Rejects' album "When The World Comes Down", The White Tie Affair's second single, Ashley Tisdale's follow-up to the still-charting "It's Alright, It's OK", Moby's first appearance in three years off his new album "Wait For Me", Karl Wolf's follow-up to his top 40 hit "Africa", Sean Paul's return to the chart, and Scottish singer Paolo Nutini's first single from his new album "Sunny Side Up".
